Argon Electronics will give a presentation on its PlumeSIM training system for chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) response as part of I/ITSEC's Innovation Showcase. The presentation, which will take place today (Tuesday 1 December) at 1230 in South Hall B/booth 1180, is titled "CBRN/WMD Simulation in a Live Training Environment."
The system enables remote instructor management of a variety of different CBRN detector simulators. PlumeSIM is already in use with the UK, US and Canadian armed forces, and there is interest growing in countries such as the Netherlands, Sweden, India and Australia. The system can be used in either table-top or field exercise mode. The latter sees students deployed with GPS enabled player units, the instructor can then monitor students location. The system provides a full record of player movement and simulator activity for after action review (AAR).
Argon Electronics is a world leader in simulation systems focused on platforms for defence from CBRN attacks and incidents involving hazardous material (HazMat).
