RUAG Continues Operating Swiss Combat Training Centres

After a competitive bidding process, RUAG Defence has received a contract from the Federal Office for Defence Procurement (armasuisse) to continue operating the combat training centres in Switzerland for the next five years. The contract includes management, operation of the centres’ system platforms, technical service, logistics, infrastructure & property.

After the bidding process, aramsuisse decided that RUAG Defence is to continue operating the combat training centres. Already today, RUAG Defence is responsible for support, infrastructure, logistics, as well as the technology and operation of the simulation platforms at the combat training centres of the Swiss Armed Forces. In addition, the company has many years of experience in the areas of Simulation & Training and has an extensive portfolio of products and services. The soldiers of the Swiss Armed Forces carry out their combat training in these combat training centres. These centres are state-of-the-art training facilities that are equipped with the latest simulation systems. The systems include “train-as-you-fight training” in a realistic environment, providing optimal preparation to soldiers for any future deployment. The combat training also includes vehicles and Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) infrastructure.
