Embraer Defense & Security announced today that it has selected Rheinmetall Defence Electronics Simulation & Training to develop and deliver the Training Media Suite for the KC-390 military transport jet.

“Rheinmetall is honored for being selected as the training devices partner in the KC-390 programme,” Ulrich Sasse, President Rheinmetall Simulation & Training explained further. “We are very excited to demonstrate our commitment for Embraer and the entire KC-390 program by providing our latest and proven simulation technology out of Germany.”
Embraer KC-390 is a tactical transport aircraft designed to, according to the company, set new standards in its category, while presenting one of the lowest life-cycle costs of the market. It can perform a variety of missions, such as cargo and troop transport, troop and cargo air delivery, aerial refueling, search and rescue and forest fire fighting. Embraer expects to receive the certification of the KC-390 jet by the end of 2017 with first deliveries of the aircraft scheduled for the first half of 2018.
