The Ritter & Stark (R&S) team brought its very accurate rifle to DSA 2016. Comfortable and reliable to the extent that one can fully rely on the rifle performance and concentrate on the shot, according to the company, every rifle is proof shot tested for safety and accuracy at the factory in R&S' own, state of the art, shooting range. "The SX-1 MTR is currently the most advanced and accurate tactical rifle in the world," said company executives at the show.
The SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle was designed to allow operators to customise the rifle to fit any specific mission requirements. The rifle can be supplied with three interchangeable calibers: .308 Win, .300 Win Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum. With the SX-1 MTR, operators can utilise different aftermarket magazines and drop-in upgrades with the AR15/M16/M4 pistol grips and buttstocks that fit to the original R&S buttstock folding mechanism.
To achieve outstanding accuracy the bolt is locked into the barrel breach. Patented Caliber Conversion System, changing the barrel requires no special skills and can be done in field conditions without any special tools (using a simple allen wrench) within minutes. MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail mount is based directly on the barrel - this design allows one to change barrels with pre-zeroed scopes. The stock-receiver is machined from an aluminum billet designed to ensure exact positioning of the barrel. The original R&S length adjustable folding stock or drop-in AR15/M16/M4 compatible buttstocks.
