This year at I/ITSEC 2013 in Orlando, FL, Saab presents its Live Laser Training, AFV Crew Trainer, Small Arms Virtual Indoor Trainer (SAVIT), and the C-IED Clearance Trainer (CCT).
Saab has a complete range of interoperable simulators covering gunnery and combat training. At I/ITSEC, the company shows their new MOUT capabilities delivered to Sweden this year, the new vehicle system Combat Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulator System (CVTESS), which Saab has delivered to the US, and Interim Range System (IRS), the new radio communication system, which the company has also delivered to the US. Saab’s new Personal Detection Device (PDD) is also on display.

The Virtual Gunnery Simulator from Saab is a part of a complete training package for all crew members of modern combat vehicles. The training range goes from Computer Based Training (CBT) to highest fidelity Crew Trainers with six DoF motion platforms and on to live training with laser based systems.
Saab’s SAVIT, with some of the most accurate aiming systems on the market and some of the most exact weapon replicas, enables the soldier to master his personal weapon and interact with his team members in complex tactical scenarios.

The CCT is a fully instrumented tactical engagement system developed to meet the training needs for route clearance of current and future IED threats and the wider aspects of counter insurgency. It can be reconfigured to offer training and validation of the C-IED Force.
