Eurosatory 2014: Elbit Systems Presents a Range of End-to-End Solutions for Terrain Dominance and Enhanced Situational Awareness

At Eurosatory 2014, Elbit Systems presents a wide range of advanced systems and solutions on the company’s exhibition booth (E737 & D601) in the Israeli Pavilion (Hall 6). The company's cutting-edge solutions for individual soldiers and fighting vehicles incluse advanced systems and solutions for land and C4I, electro-optics (EO), EW and protection systems, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and more.

At Eurosatory 2014, Elbit Systems is launching its ATMOS 155mm/52 caliber Truck-Mounted Howitzer, making its first live appearance in a global trade show at Hall 6 booth D-601. ATMOS offers the advantages of superior fire power, enhanced mobility and rapid response time, according to the company. Highly adaptable, the modular ATMOS system is compatible with any 6x6 or 8x8 high-mobility tactical truck. ATMOS supplies fire support for all types of missions and can be easily interfaced with customers’ existing C4I systems. Part of Elbit Systems’ line of fully integrated, modular artillery solutions, ATMOS incorporates an embedded electronic suite, an automatic laying system and an automatic loading system. The advanced electronic suite effectively enables accurate navigation and autonomous operation, reduced crew size, increased fire power and high precision accuracy.

Elbit Systems is also launching its SOLTAM SPEAR, a new patent-pending 120mm light vehicle-mounted Recoil Mortar System that provides ground forces with improved mobility, lethality and accuracy across a wide range of operational scenarios.

Furthermore, Elbit Systems is exhibiting:

• DOMINATOR IICS (Integrated Infantry Combat System), an integrated infantry combat system for full situational awareness that dramatically shortens the sensor-to-shooter loop, enhancing the combat effectiveness. 
• DOMINATOR-Light Dismounted (LD), a soldier centric solution, based on the vast experience accumulated by the Dominator IICS solution, geared specifically for the tactical dismounted infantry soldier and Special Forces. 
• ETC (Enhanced Tactical Computers), an ultra-rugged, battle-proven, high-performance tactical computing for combat vehicles. 
• Tadiran MCTS-7200HH Handheld and Vehicular Multi-Channel Tactical Radio, the latest in a series of combat-proven communications systems, delivering sophisticated voice and data communications together with C2 applications in a single, integrated and lightweight handheld unit. 
• MIPR (Military IP Radio), a next-generation tactical IP radio delivering high-speed broadband data communications to the battlefield, man-packed or mounted.
• Tadiran PNR-1000, a lightweight radio ideal for deployed combat units, integrating high-quality intra-team voice communications with a C4I application computing unit, providing on-the-move situational awareness.
• Tadiran GRX-4000 (104 M, Dual Band L+C Radio Relay), a high-capacity, multi-interface IP and TDM radio relay featuring simultaneous dual-band and dual-mode operation, supporting the latest IP and legacy communications protocols. 
• Tadiran VIC-500I, an advanced, reliable and customisable digital intercommunication system for fighting vehicles. 
• TMR Max, comprised of a powerful data router for both IP and non-IP radio networks, as well as advanced digital vehicular intercom (VIC) and radio over IP (RoIP) sub-systems. The military-grade TMR Max supports multiple CNRs, telephony, crew stations and vectronics connectivity. 
• Mini CORAL, a very lightweight thermal imager and target acquisition system designed for both urban warfare scenarios and for wide spread battlefield deployment.
• TREASURES, a highly advanced UGS system, which enables continuous force or border protection and enhanced situational awareness, ensuring a short and efficient sensor-to-shooter cycle. TREASURES detects, classifies and tracks human and vehicular targets, in real-time, on any terrain, and in all weather conditions. TREASURES is comprised of a variety of advanced sensors, communications equipment, and control components.

For armoured fighting vehicles Elbit Systems is exhibiting:

• Commander Open Architecture Panoramic Sight (COAPS), an advanced modular dual-axis stabilised sight for MBTs and AFVs, featuring a wide range of advanced sensors, including various thermal imagers, colour zoom camera and eye-safe Laser Range Finder. 
• TIFCS, a compact, robust, modular, user-friendly gunner sight for long-range, optimal for both day and night, stationary and on the move operation, designed for rapid and high-accuracy target engagement, in all combat scenarios. 

The following is on display at Hall 6 Booth D601:

• ACU Air Conditioning Unit qualified for both military and commercial standards and requirements is characterised by light weight, compactness and digital control and communications connectivity to external control systems. 
• Life Support Systems (LSS) for AFVs and MBTs includes chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection and detection, as well as fire suppression systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
• Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) for MBTs and AFVs improves crew’s performance and safety by reducing fatigue and minimizing exposure to noise, heat and vibrations.

In the Fire Support and Reconnaissance niche, Elbit Systems is launching the Long View CR-D (LVCR-D), a day/night long-range multi-function observation and targeting system with innovative designation capabilities; and the CORAL-CR-II, a new upgraded version of the legacy CORAL-CR, handheld Thermal Imaging Binocular for long range day/night observation and target acquisition.

Furthremore on show are the FOXTRACK Portable Ground Surveillance Radar System, a lightweight, compact, man-portable radar carried by two operators ideal for special operation forces or security personnel; and the iSNS (Immune Satellite Navigation System), a highly effective GPS ECCM system that ensures reliable, non-stop GPS operation, provides full jamming immunity for multiple satellite channels and handles multiple interfering signals and/or jammers operating on concurrent frequencies.

For self-protection Elbit Systems presents:

• Mini-MUSIC, the newest member in Elbit Systems Intelligence and Electro-optics Elop's MUSIC family of proven DIRCM systems. Lightweight and compact, mini-MUSIC is easily installed on small and medium rotary and fixed-wing platforms.
• MRJ (Miniature Reactive Jammer) family, a group of reactive systems that can be configured as reactive, active, or as a simultaneous combination of both in order to jam RCIEDs. 
• ALL-in-SMALL, a complete self-protection suite for helicopters and transporters, integrated EW Suite in one single LRU, with comprehensive, advanced, EW capabilities.
• Laser Warning System (LWS) detects, categorises and pinpoints laser and IR sources including laser rangefinders, laser designators, beam rider transmitters, IR illuminators and trainers. 

Elbit Systems recently announced that it was selected by the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS), as the preferred supplier for the UAS 15 new reconnaissance drone programme.

Elbit Systems’ UAS have earned international recognition and play increasingly vital roles in the global war on terrorism. The following UAS are showcased in hologram format: HERMES 900 next generation medium altitude long endurance (MALE) UAS; HERMES 450 high performance, deployable, mature, reliable, high capacity, long endurance, multi-payload multi-role tactical UAS; HERMES 90 expeditionary high performance, low cost, tactical UAS; and SKYLARK I-LE autonomous mini-UAS.

Payloads for UAS on show include:

• DCoMPASS: Digital Compact Multi-Purpose Advanced Stabilized System is a highly-stabilised EO payload system designed for long-range surveillance and targeting for UAS, helicopters, fixed wing, maritime and ground platforms.
• SIGINT Payloads for UAS: a lightweight and modular emerald AES-210V (ELINT) and skyfix (COMINT) solutions are meeting the full range of SIGINT mission requirements to detect, identify, and locate ground-based, airborne and ship borne radars and communications emitters. The payloads are easily installed and remotely operated from a ground control station.
