Invisio has received a new order from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) for INVISIO S10 hearing protection and communication systems for approx. SEK22 million with deliveries taking place in 2017. The systems will support the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force and the Army Reserve.
The order was placed by Invisio’s partner Marlborough Communications and is the second order under the so-called THPS (Tactical Hearing Protection Systems) agreement that was signed about a year ago. This agreement is for four years, with an option to extend it for a further three years, and includes possible orders from the Department's various divisions.
"We are pleased that more divisions of the British MOD now is ordering our advanced communication systems with hearing protection. This order is completely in line with the customer's ambition to gradually replace their units' existing equipment with our modern solution. We look forward to a long and successful cooperation," Lars Højgård Hansen, CEO of INVISIO, said.
“The INVISIO S10 hearing protection system will deliver a key capability for the Armed Forces, providing first rate situational awareness and better prevents hearing damage to personnel on operations whilst offering more comfort,” Maj.Gen. Richard Talbot Rice, Director Land Equipment, UK, explained.
THPS is the modernisation programme for hearing protection and communications systems of the UK MoD. Along with Marlborough Communications, Invisio won the contract in August 2015 and received an initial order of SEK130 million to the British Army.
