FAUN Trackway, the leading manufacturer of portable roadways and runways, is exhibiting at the UK Pavilion, stand K545.

Offering a range of expedient recoverable solutions, FAUN Trackway discusses how its products can be used to facilitate both military and disaster relief scenarios, with particular focus on the company's Heavy Ground Mobility System (HGMS).

HGMS is comprised of Military Load Classification (MLC) 70 mounted on to a hydraulic spool. The system is fitted to the chassis of a military vehicle and powered by its engine, requiring only minimal manpower for deployment. Designed for speed, a full length of 50m Trackway can be laid by two men in only six minutes.

Trackway is a ground-surfacing aluminium matting that can support wheeled or tracked vehicles weighing up to 70 tonnes. This temporary roadway has been designed to aid military and disaster-relief missions in challenging terrains such as sand, snow, desert and marshland.

First developed more than 15 years ago for the Norwegian Army, today more than 35 Armed Forces from across the world hold the HGMS. Most recently, the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) added a number of HGMS units and Spoolracks to its inventory.

Chris Kendall, Director at FAUN Trackway, said: "Modern Armed Forces are required to work in a wide variety of environments. Under challenging conditions, it's vital that vehicle assets and soldiers can remain mobile and protected. FAUN's portable roadway and runway systems offer expedient and safe access to our military partners. We look forward to engaging with delegates at EUROSATORY to demonstrate exactly what our products are capable of."
