Meggitt Training Systems has installed and commissioned a new live fire law enforcement range at Mubarrak Al Kabeer in Kuwait, the first new Police Governorates headquarters. The Governorate plans ten identical installations across the country, including the Al Jahra tactical range, for which Meggitt has already won the contract. Concurrently, Meggitt is completing the installation of the largest multiple range complex in Kuwait at the new Police Training College, bringing new levels of tactical realism into an urban area training setting.
Under these orders, Meggitt is delivering more than 100 stationary and mobile targetry mechanisms and multiple sophisticated control units valued in excess of $4.5 million. Equipment will be installed by the end of 2013.
The new Police Governorate Headquarters range features multiple lanes for greater training capacity and overall range efficiency. Moving targets are controlled wirelessly through a range operator, enabling training scenarios to be focused on an individual lane or set for a comprehensive group.
With systems already installed with the Kuwait Army, the National Guard and at Kuwait’s only commercial live firing complex, Meggitt Training Systems is the largest supplier of live fire ranges and small arms trainer simulators to Kuwait.
Ronald Vadas, President of Meggitt Training Systems, commented: “It is a privilege to be the supplier of choice in Kuwait. This award increases Meggitt’s regional presence, furthers efficient operation and maintenance to the area, and underscores our commitment to support the professionalism of Kuwait’s Armed Forces and Security Services.”
Meggitt Training Systems supports installations across the Middle East region from Abu Dhabi.
