TAI Celebrates Delivery of the Last Four F-16 to Pakistan Air Force

On 2 September, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) celebrated the delivery of the last four F-16 aircraft to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) under the Pakistan F-16 Modernisation Programme at TAI’s facilities in Ankara, Turkey.

Many hig h level authorities among whom were Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) Air Marshal Sohail Aman, Pakistan Ambassador HE Muhammad Haroon Shaukat,  Turkish Air Force (TuAF) Chief of Staff Lt.Gen. Mehmet Şanver, Deputy Undersecretary for Defense Industries (SSM) Dr. Faruk Özlü, TAI’s Chairman of the Board Yalçın Kaya, Deputy General Manager Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Atilla Gürdere and TAI’s President & CEO Muharrem Dörtkaşlı participated in the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) ceremony for the delivery of the last four F-16 aircraft to the PAF . The avionics and structural modernisation of 41 PAF F-16s, under the programme which was effected by a contract between TAI and the Pakistan Ministry of Defense (MoD) in 2009, was performed at TAI’s facilities. PAF personnel also have been qualified for the modernisation by having classroom and on-the-job training given by TAI and have participated to the work performed at TAI.


Being among the well-known companies in the world and in the field of F-16 modernization, TAI successfully realised the PAF F-16 Modernisation Programme and has proved its success in the world’s aerospace and defence arena. The quality and performance of the programme was highly appreciated by the PAF and has been valued as the precedent of success and cooperation between the PAF and TAI for future projects. This appraisal will also substantiate the collaboration between two countries for the future.
