In cooperation with Gate Elektronik S.A. (booth A-106), Rheinmetall displays its newly developed Oerlikon Twin Gun GDF009 for the first time at IDEF 2015 in Istanbul. Designed as an upgrade kit for the widely fielded GDF anti-aircraft gun series, it combines proven technology with innovation. To highlight just a few, the GDF009 features a modern digital operation console, a laser sight with IR-camera and is fully battery powered in order to reduce heat and noise emissions. As its predecessors, the GDF009 is capable of firing Rheinmetall’s Ahead air burst ammunition.
