Sagem was one of the first companies to equip the Armed Forces with tactical UAV systems, starting with the delivery of CRÉCERELLE to the French Army in 1995 and later with the SPERWER UAS. SPERWER has been produced in more than 120 units and sold to six countries in NATO and the EU. Today, it is commercialised under its latest Mk.II version, and has been operated in Afghanistan for the last seven years in support of NATO forces. As a result, Sagem has acquired a considerable experience with this system, which has been engaged in combat operations and has provided an efficient support to its customers deployed in external operations.

The long-endurance PATROLLER UAV family is based on a common EASA-certified platform, specially developed for mission aircraft and UAVs by Stemme. The avionics systems, the datalink and the Ground Control Station (GCS) are based on the existing and combat proven tactical SPERWER Mk.II UAV sub systems. Thanks to the uncompromising quality of their optronic sensors and datalink, Sagem UAVs provide high-resolution images and high target localisation accuracy. Sagem has developed a multi-platform approach based on a unique set of mature and combat-proven sensors, avionics, data links, and GCS equipment implemented in different types of platforms dedicated to different customer requirements. Thanks to the uncompromising quality of their optronic sensors and datalink, Sagem UAVs provide high-resolution images and high target localisation accuracy. The images and data acquired in the air vehicle are transmitted to the GCSs or directly to the ground troops on their Remote Video Terminal (Sagem RVT).

The SPERWER Mk.II UAV system is a truly tactical system particularly adapted to the needs of Armed Forces engaged in external operations as close as possible to combat zones.

PATROLLER, gathers Sagem’s UAV experience in a family of long-endurance surveillance UAV systems intended for dual-use governmental purpose in support of defence and homeland security missions. With PATROLLER, Sagem has designed and developed a family of 1t-class long-endurance UAV systems adapted to nation states’ growing defence and homeland security needs.

This offer is based on Sagem’s total mastering of the integration of complex systems and technology required for the development of UAS and applicable to numerous types of aircraft. This includes avionics, navigation, image chain and gyrostabilised optronic sensors, data transmission, ground stations, mission planning, etc. PATROLLER is available in three versions, depending on user missions and needs: PATROLLER-R for Air Force requirements, PATROLLER-M for maritime surveillance, and PATROLLER-S for homeland security surveillance.

According to customer needs, PATROLLER Systems can be acquired, leased or offered through flight by the hour contract (turnkey services including maintenance).
