Israeli manufacturer Opgal Optronic Industries Ltd. moves ahead in pushing its expertise in thermal imaging technology for the military market.
Recognised as a world leader in infrared (IR) imaging and advanced vision and surveillance systems, Opgal is "increasing its commitment to land forces and both naval and maritime services", said Dani Paroz, Director of Sales of Opgal's Defence Business Unit, adding that promoting single and multi-sensor thermal imaging cameras as retrofits for combat vehicles ranks first on the company's strategic agenda for the near future. Additionally, Paroz expects growing demand for retrofitting naval platforms (frigates, patrol boats) in the upcoming years, for which the company has an extensive portfolio.
Opgal is actively leaveraging its electro-optical and imaging processing expertise for a variety of markets, including the homeland security and military domains. STN
