DST Defence Service Tracks (DST), a Krauss-Maffei Wegmann company, announced at Eurosatory they have won the United Arab Emirates (UAE) tender for the maintenance and repair, and overhaul (MRO) of 85 M109 self propelled howitzers. The company has had more than decade-long relationship with the UAE on the M109, which started in 2004 with a powerpack upgrade. Work is to be undertaken at an existing UAE facility.
